The victim is still troubled by nightmares. “He said it was not appropriate and that he was a guardian of morality,” the Turkish-born man was quoted as saying in the Kron. One evening in February this year he was surrounded by “seven to eight” Chechens in Vienna-Favitriten. “Someone showed me a video in which (girl, editor’s note) and I kissed.” But he was only allowed to do this to the Chechen, moral defenders said earlier, adding, according to the prosecutor, that he “began to hurt his victim, beating her badly.” After this the victim had to delete the Chechen girl’s number from her cell phone.
The three Islamic moral guardians are not unknown. Three of them are in court as defendants for the second time. In the end, the jury agreed that grievous bodily harm had been inflicted intentionally. Sentences: conditional 16 months for first and second defendants, conditional twelve months for contributory offender. In addition, the victim should receive 4,451 euros in compensation. Not all decisions are final.
