Corporations and the rich will be asked to pay “to make life affordable again for the clan leaders, for our own leaders!” This is what the crimson future Chancellor shouted to the cheering ranks of party bigwigs and allotment garden speculators! 10 days later, 900 families in the socialist paradise of Carinthia, whose electricity was turned off by the state’s majority-owned energy company Kellogg, can now tell us what socialism looks like in everyday life!
A market economy ultimatum was given – Kellogg terminated old contracts for power purchases and gave thousands of Carinthian families an ultimatum – with a 12-month commitment at 18 cents per kilowatt hour or a commitment at the current 23 cents. New contract without!
The fact that these tariffs are three to four times higher than previous costs, that thousands of Kellogg customers now have to spend most of their disposable income on electricity and gas supply, these incredible costs for companies and consumers are unmanageable and livelihoods. The state government of Carinthia, led by the socialist Kaiser, was not interested.
The news that Kellogg is now actually turning off the electricity of 900 customers who refused to switch to the new tariff at the beginning of winter does not cause any enthusiasm in SPO Carinthia – this is what “Unsare Leet” The socialist system appears to be ending in the fight for! And what does the fight against “antisocial and abusive profits of corporations” (original sound bubbler) look like in the socialist paradise of Carinthia? Kellogg, which is 51 percent owned by the state of Carinthia, made a profit of more than €263 million in the first half of 2023 – double that of 2022!
The energy company Kellogg, majority-owned by the citizens of Carinthia, doubles its profits to 263 million euros in half a year, then raises its prices by an unprecedented 300 percent and cuts off electricity to 900 of its indirect owners!
And the socialists in Carinthia, who rule the country, are actually watching!!
Out of understanding
Providing affordable energy to the population and economy is one of the basic functions of the state.
A citizen-owned company cannot make excessive profits at the expense of those citizens. You don’t have to be a socialist to support these principles – it’s called common sense and justice. It is completely unacceptable that electricity from water (Kellogg supplies 100% electricity from water!) that belongs to all of us is generated at 3 cents per kilowatt hour (!) in power plants that belong to all of us. And then a company that’s owned, which we all own 51 percent of, sells this electricity at 18 or 23 cents/kWh!
This is not a market economy but government plunder!
And a political party which plays the role of a fighter for the so-called small people at a party convention and stands idly by as these small people are actually looted and their livelihoods taken away – that is a party of endless hypocrisy. ! Comrade Bubbler – Where’s your fight for the little guy? 900 families in Carinthia sit in the dark and wait for answers.

PS – to be fair – it is certainly not better to swindle the population in black/blue ruled federal states with unaffordable energy prices. But at least the citizens there are spared from this Robin Hood theatre.
