A huge wave of lawsuits is going on in the British capital. 80 lawsuits have been received from vaccination victims or their relatives, amounting to approximately 92 million euros – but in reality it is much more than that. Side effects ranging from life-threatening to fatal are being discussed, which should at least temporarily be related to vaccination with the manufacturer’s active ingredient.
First and foremost, as the Reitsshuster.de portal also reports, it is about the practice of compensating vaccination victims. But it’s also about the fact that at least some of the batches distributed were “defective” and resulted in documented side effects. Vaccine victims in the United Kingdom are currently entitled to 138,000 euros – of course if the harm suffered is recognized as a result of the government-recommended vaccination. And responsible authorities view at least 81 deaths as potentially linked to the AstraZeneca vaccine.
AstraZeneca denied the lawsuit, saying the package insert warned of possible side effects such as serious thrombosis. The pharmaceutical company also describes what it considers to be a “clearly acceptable safety profile” of its product.
Prosecutors, who do not least want more money, say in relation to a study on effectiveness published by the manufacturer: “In fact, the absolute risk reduction in terms of prevention of COVID-19 was only 1.2 percent.” If you follow this assessment, of course this case also has broader implications for the relationship between the risks and benefits of vaccination.
