Inflation fell in October and now stands at 5.4 percent. Tobias Thomas, General Director of Statistics Austria, announced the good news on Friday. Prices rose only 0.3 percent compared to the previous month.
Reason for decline? “This is mainly related to the fact that fuel is significantly cheaper than it was last year,” explains Thomas. But that’s not all – the rise in prices of food and furniture has also come down. Now the big question is whether this trend will continue?
