There is no respect, no respect for climate extremists: once again they have defaced Germany’s most famous monument with paint. The so-called “Last Generation” shared a video on Twitter of an activist peacefully painting the Brandenburg Gate orange. The group writes cynically: “The Brandenburg Gate remains orange!”
After the first paint attack in September, “Last Generation” threatened several times to destroy the Brandenburg Gate again. After the color campaign, the police immediately arrested the self-proclaimed activists. The good news: The paint washed off quickly.
After the first disfigurement of the Brandenburg Gate, the color is still clearly visible. The cost of the cleanup is estimated to be in the six figures. The paint will not be completely removed because it has penetrated too deeply into the sandstone.
