Train drivers’ union GDL’s 20-hour warning strike is causing disruption to rail passengers: The work stoppage began at 10pm on Wednesday and will last until 6pm on Thursday.
Thousands of passengers from Austria also affected: The ÖBB fall hard OABB.A total of 8 night trains. A further nine night trains and many long-distance trains to and from Germany will run for shorter periods, meaning they will end earlier than planned. Daytime traffic within Austria via Deutsche Ek is not affected between Hamburg and Tyrol.
