Recently, the Tour de France started abroad three times. But this should change. From 2025, the Tour de France will return home for the start. The Grand Départ of the 112th edition of the world’s most important cycling race will take place in the Lille region of northern France. Organizer ASO announced this on Tuesday. Details of the first phase will be presented in Lille on 30 November.
Last year the Tour started in Copenhagen and the Great Loop in the Basque Country begins on July 1, 2023. Next year we will depart from Florence. Additionally, due to the Olympic Games the tour will end in Nice instead of Paris for the first time.
