According to hacker group Lockbit, China’s largest bank ICBC had paid ransom after the major cyber attack in America. “You pay the ransom, case closed,” a Lockbit representative told Reuters on messaging app Talks. Criminals smuggled so-called ransomware into IT systems. Disruptions at financial institutions also affected trading in US bonds.
