A sexual assault at a wedding reception in an inn in the Carinthian district of St. Viit/Glan led to a fight at the weekend and two people were injured. A firefighter in uniform grabbed the bride’s lower back. The groom (35) and the bride’s father intervened and confronted a firefighter (53) and his brother (47). The elderly firefighter and the groom were injured.
According to St Vet police station, the survey has not been completed yet. The scuffle took place around 9:25 pm. At the inn, a wedding party was celebrated in its own hall. At the same time, the restaurant also had some guests from the bereaved community who had attended a funeral during the day. According to preliminary investigation, one of the firefighters might have grabbed the bride’s buttocks when she was passing by the counter. According to the police, an argument broke out between the bride’s father, the groom and two uniformed fire personnel over this issue.
