The issue that first attracted the most attention was making tackling inflation a constitutional provision. Reduction in working hours is necessary only as a pilot project. The new law, about which the Viennese party is particularly skeptical, provides for a runoff election for the party leadership in the future if more than one person applies.
But the comrades will also take care of other issues in Graz. The topic “fighting back pain” or the already mentioned question about fertility also got the attention of the delegates.
Meanwhile, there was red alert in the SPO even before the party conference: only 20 percent of Austrians believed the Social Democrats under federal party leader Andreas Babler would come in first place in the upcoming National Council election.
