It’s not just the Greens who are good at dismissing reasonable criticism as racism and sexism: Stefan Ferenczi, vice-president of the Vienna Medical Association, compared the “democratic mentality” of Dr Kameleon-Schmied to an attempted coup in the chamber. ÖVP women’s spokeswoman and NR MP Pfurtscheller expressed outrage in a press release and demanded consequences, compared to the “mullah regime”. LABG Dagmar Hausler (MFG) has now hit back in a press release, saying: “If you are afraid of comparisons with an undemocratic mullah regime, you should not behave like one!”

Lack of democracy: Demand for resignation of NR representative. puffersheller
With clear words on November 10, L.A.B.G. Dagmar Hausler, BSc., Mfg.-Deputy Chairman of the Austrian Federal Party. Reacted to the OVP broadcast from Tuesday last week: NR-ABG. Elisabeth Pfurtscheller defended her party colleague Naghme Kameleyan-Schmid, who was involved in an anti-democratic coup attempt at the Vienna Medical Association. He attempted to present a fair criticism of the Iranian-born doctor in the context of his origins.
On 31 October, ÖVP National Council member Pfurtscheller demanded an apology from Stefan Ferenczi, vice president of the Vienna Medical Association, through the APA-OTS. In a private conversation during a break in the meeting, he said that he would not congratulate his Medical Association colleague Kamleyan-Schmid because he had the “democratic mentality of the mullah regime” and he did not want such a person on the board of directors. Medical Association.
If you look at Ferenczi’s statement in light of Ms Kamleyan-Schmid’s actions, the comparison with the actions of an undemocratic regime makes complete sense. “Neither the ÖVP nor the Steinhardt faction in the Vienna Medical Association have ever apologized for their undemocratic misconduct in the so-called corona pandemic. The apology is also overdue for the approval of the Compulsory Vaccination Act, which violates fundamental rights and is unconstitutional,” explains Dagmar Hausler.
Instead, Ms. Pfurtscheller is interested in a party colleague who played a leading role in the attempted coup at the medical association. On 15 September the medical law was broken, and Ms Kamleyan-Schmid wanted to reinstate a party friend to her office.
The meeting has already been declared invalid by the supervisory board authority. The authority took action after the intervention of MFG Medical Association orders. Due to an illegal election, Kamleyan-Schmid would like to install herself as vice president – this time too, the MFG faction is a democratic stronghold – objections have again been lodged with the state government.
“Ms NR Rep. Pfurtscheller: Return to the rule of law or immediately resign from all public offices together with your ally!” Dagmar Häusler clearly demands.
“If you are afraid of comparisons with the mullah regime hostile to democracy, you should not behave like it! “The allegations of racism and sexism here are misleading and ignore the problem.”
At the September 15 meeting, 16 people declared an illegal coup attempt – which was overturned by the supervisory authority.
The medical association was to visit www.aekwien.at/presseaussendungen on 3 October. Report about it.
The official decision of the supervisory authority has still not been published. However, democratic and legally compliant behavior in the medical association is particularly important, as it holds immense power in the health system and can decide on the survival of Austrian doctors.
