“Andreas Bübler is giving the order to shift his party to the left,” says ÖVP General Secretary Christian Stocker, referring to the upcoming SPO federal party conference. The new chairman’s plans on Loewellstrasse are “far-reaching”: “Babler wants to enable even more migration from Afghanistan as well as a complete ban on deportations to Afghanistan.” It emerges from existing SPO applications – eXXpres reports.
Stocker: “In terms of security policy, the implementation of these plans would be disastrous.” All progress made so far in reducing the number of asylum seekers would be “reversed”. The SPO “speaks out against the imposed asylum brake and wants to allow even more immigration into the Austrian social system.”
This is contrary to what Austrians expect: “The fight against illegal migration must continue. “This is what Austrians expect from politics, and rightly so.”
Furthermore, for the SPÖ, additional immigration is “much more important than integration” – the SPÖ even proves this by calling for the abolition of tried-and-tested German support classes. Andreas Bübler apparently doesn’t care at all whether immigrants learn German or not,” says Stocker.
Furthermore, “the proposals announced for the SPÖ federal party conference are a mixture of absurdity and at the same time highlight the SPÖ’s misplaced priorities. The SPÖ proposals have nothing to do with the reality of life for the Austrian people.
Stocker: “Bans on the import of goose liver and hunting trophies, the fight against back pain, ‘queer and gender-equal’ educational training, the abolition of school grades in certain subjects, additional taxes for the disposal of ‘chick butts’ and driving ability. ‘Introducing a limit on drug consumption for – this is Andreas Bübler’s world. The SpO president has taken a complete wrong turn and is reducing his party to political insignificance.’
