As part of the ground offensive in the Gaza Strip, soldiers of the Paratrooper Brigade exposed the shaft of an underground tunnel adjacent to an amusement park. This was part of a targeted operation in the northern Gaza Strip to gain full control of the area.
The soldiers then destroyed the shaft.
Additionally, in collaboration with the Seventh Brigade, an underground tunnel shaft and weapons cache were found near a university. Among other things, there were chemical materials, rocket-propelled grenades, claymore mines, and more.
The Israeli Foreign Ministry underlines: “All this is evidence of Hamas’s reprehensible use of the civilian population and various entities as human shields for its own purposes.”
