As Israel National News reported on September 28, 8-year-old Yonatan Moshe Ehrlichman died after suffering cardiac arrest in a bathtub on Yom Kippur evening. On the evening of Yom Kippur, the highest Jewish holiday, which fell on September 24 and 25 this year, 8-year-old Jonathan was taking a bath when he went into cardiac arrest. He became unconscious and went under water. When he was found, he had no pulse. Rescue workers arrived immediately and were initially successful in saving the boy. He was admitted to Hadassah Hospital on Mount Scopus. His condition is still critical: Although he was said to have shown little progress, Jonathan died on September 28.

Our Jonathan Moshe passed away recently. On the eve of Yom Kippur, Jonathan went into cardiac arrest at our home and we have been fighting with him since he collapsed. Jonathan was the son of Dr. Ira Ehrlichman, pediatrician at Hadassah Hospital and grandson of Dr. Mati Ehrlichman, former chief of pediatrics at Shaare Zedek Medical Center.
