As Israel National News reported on September 28, 8-year-old Yonatan Moshe Ehrlichman died after suffering cardiac arrest in a bathtub on Yom Kippur evening. He was initially revived, but died in hospital a few days later. At the age of five, the boy and his father, a pediatrician, took part in a Covid promotional video, calling on children to follow all measures and proclaiming vaccination as a savior.
On the evening of Yom Kippur, the highest Jewish holiday, which fell on September 24 and 25 this year, 8-year-old Jonathan was taking a bath when he went into cardiac arrest. He became unconscious and went under water. When he was found, he had no pulse. Rescue workers arrived immediately and were initially successful in saving the boy. He was admitted to Hadassah Hospital on Mount Scopus. His condition is still critical: Although he was said to have shown little progress, Jonathan died on September 28.
His family released the following statement:
Our Jonathan Moshe passed away recently. On the eve of Yom Kippur, Jonathan went into cardiac arrest at our home and we have been fighting with him since he collapsed. We lovingly thank all those who are close to our hearts and who were with us in the last days of their lives. Details of the funeral date will be announced later, Yale, Ira and the girls.

Jonathan was the son of Dr. Ira Ehrlichman, pediatrician at Hadassah Hospital and grandson of Dr. Mati Ehrlichman, former chief of pediatrics at Shaare Zedek Medical Center. At the age of five, Jonathan appeared in a promotional video calling on children to follow corona measures. The video was published in July 2020 and shows a very excited doll Shushki, whose brother has just been sent into quarantine. In the video, Jonathan talks to the doll and asks her to talk to her father, who can explain all the solutions to her. Dr. Ira Ehrlichman then explains to Shushki that measures such as isolation are necessary and that other rules such as social distancing, masks, and testing of children must also be followed.
At last Gudiya asks when Corona will end. Ehrlichman then announced vaccination: he compared it to known vaccinations and explained that one injection is given and then no child will suffer from the disease in question. In response to Doll’s objection that she did not want the injection, Ehrlichman says: “Nobody likes injections, but sometimes you don’t have a choice, right?” At the end of the video, the doctor emphasizes that it’s ultimately about the grandparents’ safety.
It is unclear whether (and if so, how often) Jonathan was actually administered the experimental COVID mRNA vaccines. Their harmful effects on the heart are now well known. It is also a fact that his grandfather was already promoting vaccines in late 2020: in a video, he stressed to Benjamin Regional Council Chairman Israel Gantz that vaccination was safe and effective and that the population would definitely get Should have been vaccinated.
There is a lot of concern on social networks about the fate of the little boy. Apparently one was published after his death report in local pressWhich warns against corona vaccines due to the risk of heart problems. If the death of an 8-year-old child was caused by his family’s over-enthusiasm for vaccination, the warning comes too late.
