Gimli joined the select few in January this year. His colleagues describe him as courageous, fearless and committed. He is now dead, killed in action in Ukraine. His commander bid farewell with emotional words on social media: “His smile was infectious, as well as his laughter. As a commander, I could not have asked for a better soldier, friend and brother. I will cherish the time we spent together, Gims, and I will see you again, my brother. You can be assured that those selected will continue the mission.”
