Just before the start of the 49th Berlin Marathon with approximately 50,000 participants from all over the world, eight rioters attacked the Strasse des 17 Juni. Climate Taliban stormed the route from both sides with buckets and posters. A video from the X platform (formerly Twitter) showed activists holding “Last Generation” posters and others being pushed to the ground by police and security guards. Some people spilled orange paint on the asphalt. Police and law enforcement immediately intervened.
Officials and security forces removed all the miscreants from the road. According to the police, the people involved are still being identified. Orange colored marks could be seen on the road. However, the attack did not affect the marathon.
