This is the first part of a series in which we would like to bring to the fore those who are mostly behind the camera or who ask questions as presenters and journalists. Report24 presenter and author Edith Brotzner has recently published her first book. In “Alcohol and Psychotropic Drugs” she works through weekly observations collected from 2022 – which are exciting, thought-provoking and sometimes make you smile.
Who really is Edith Brotzner – and what does she do outside of Report24? Does he too have a personal life to take a break from all the madness? Report24 editor-in-chief Florian Machl asks these and other questions in the first part of a talk series that aims to take a look behind the curtain.
Apart from her work as a writer, editor, presenter and journalist, Edith also has another life. She talks about this in this video interview. She also introduces her organization “Austria is Free”, where many people, especially during the so-called Corona crisis, met together not only to receive information, but also to maintain friendships and carry out various activities.
By the way, your book “Alcohol and Psychotropic Drugs” is not a guide to drug problems, but it is a quote from Carl Nehammer, who was still Chancellor, who probably found it particularly funny. Edith has a very special “relationship”, if you will, with Nehmer – these experiences are also discussed. You can order the book here.
This interview deals with how Edith deals with the flood of information and where she recharges her batteries. Just like the question of what is the reaction to his various actions – good or bad. And of course interviewer and colleague Florian Machl wanted to know whether Edith was really as much of a right-wing radical as members of the anti-fashing guild keep claiming.
