The crime of June 21 caused national outrage. Three African immigrants attacked an unsuspecting couple in Berlin’s Gorlitzer Park, the German capital’s worst drug hotspot. While the mother of two was forced to have sex and all three raped one after another, the attackers grabbed the husband and beat him with fists and branches. He had to watch his wife being abused by men from Somalia and Guinea.
Traces of semen on the victim’s clothes blamed the refugees. His genetic fingerprints had long been stored in police computers:
Accordingly, Boubarkar B (22) of Guinea, who had benefited from the social system under four aliases, had already been sentenced to one year in prison for drug trafficking on eight counts. Due to his difficult childhood, the judges decided not to impose an unconditional sentence. He later had to go back to court for drug trafficking. Verdict: 14 months unconditionally. He was released early due to good behavior as an institution’s hairdresser.
His asylum application was rejected by authorities in 2019. The decision is final and Baubarkar B. Was on the deportation list. But the expulsion was never carried out.
His alleged accomplice was also an old acquaintance of the police: Mtouga D., 22, of Guinea, has been charged with three counts of violating drug laws and causing bodily harm. His asylum application was also rejected long ago, but he is still tolerated.
Osman B (21), from Somalia, was believed to be homeless and was traveling under ten aliases in Germany. He was also examined several times for physical damage.
All three will soon be tried for rape, this time facing several years in prison.
