In August, Tesla expressed interest in building a factory in India to make low-cost electric cars. Tesla currently operates six factories and is building a seventh factory in Mexico to expand its global presence. Musk said in May that the automaker would likely select a site for a new factory by the end of the year. Musk will also meet Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu in California on Monday. Musk announced at X that the conversation would be about artificial intelligence (AI).
