The Detroit News reported Friday, citing the UAW union, that the Chrysler parent company is now offering workers a 19.5 percent wage increase and hourly billing. UAW chief Shawn Fenn said Wednesday that Stellantis is offering a 17.5 percent pay increase. However, employee representatives are demanding 40 percent more.
Starting Friday, the UAW is on strike simultaneously with the three major car companies GM, Ford and Stellantis brand Chrysler for the first time in its history.
