The basketball game is mourning the passing of Brandon Hunter. As his former college coach Jeff Boles of the Ohio Bobcats announced on Tuesday, the former professional basketball player died suddenly at the age of just 42. “Rest in peace bobcat shape. Gone too soon,” Bowles wrote on her Instagram Story. Details of the cause of death are not yet available.
Hunter was one of the greatest basketball talents in college basketball. He even made it to the NBA, the world’s best basketball league. He was selected 56th overall by the Boston Celtics in the 2003 NBA draft. However, the power forward/center is transferring to the Charlotte Bobcats after only one year. After twelve months the excitement in the American League for the two-meter man ended. Overall, Hunter played in 67 games.
After leaving the NBA, Hunter moved all over the world. The American played in ten different countries, including Germany. His former club in Germany, BBC Bayreuth, expressed condolences on the former player.
“Today we have very sad news to tell you. According to US media reports, Brandon Hunter – our ever-popular centre-back from the second BBL season following promotion – has died suddenly and completely unexpectedly at the age of 42,” the post said. Hunter was considered a crowd favorite.
