The Bavarian Public Prosecutor’s Office has applied to the Degendorf district court for a penalty order of 90 daily rates of 400 euros against former BZÖ politician Gerald Groz (46) for insults (eXXpress reports). He referred to Free State Prime Minister Markus Soder as “Sodolph” on Political Ash Wednesday.
But that’s not all: “Soder’s public prosecutor’s office is suing me for illegal gun ownership. No kidding,” writes Hofberg’s former candidate on X (formerly Twitter). Quoting from is not allowed because German law prohibits it,” the well-known TV interlocutor insisted with a smile on his face.
“During the Ash Wednesday speech in Deggendorf I may have illegally carried a weapon in my Lederhausen, which I could use at any time against innocent people,” Grosz said in the video. And further: “It is the public prosecutor’s office in whose territory there is an individual case involving knives every day because the judicial authorities in Bavaria are failing completely,” Groz criticized in a sarcastic tone. But see for yourself:
