At around 12 noon, a violent argument started between several people in a community hall. This is what eyewitnesses say. Eventually screams were heard and shots were fired. Within minutes, several police officers and emergency services were on the scene.
According to “Today”, a family dispute is said to be the reason behind this incident. As police spokesman Mattias Schuster confirmed, two blank bullets were initially fired. One person was later arrested.
Vienna’s professional rescue spokeswoman Corina Haidt says a total of ten rescue teams were in action. Those injured in the bloody brawl suffered stab and cut injuries. He was taken to hospital with minor injuries. No one was seriously injured.
