Joe Biggs is the leader of the Proud Boys militia that participated in the attack on the Capitol. He has now been sentenced to 17 years in prison, the second highest sentence in connection with the riots that took place on January 6, 2021. Prosecutors see Biggs at the center of a “seditious conspiracy”.
