While Moscow claims Wagner boss Prigozhin was killed in a recent plane crash, the Russian mercenary force is now circulating a video showing him alive and shaking a leg. Accordingly, he is probably somewhere in Africa.
In a video (see tweet below), Wagner’s boss, Yevgeny Prigozhin, claims that he is alive and active, despite claims of his death. “It was a weekend in the second half of August 2023,” he explained, “and it was in Africa.”
According to media reports, the 62-year-old was buried privately at the Porokhovskoye cemetery in his hometown of St. Petersburg. But there is no independent report confirming his death. So far it is known that ten people killed in the crash of a private jet near Moscow were linked to the Wagner mercenary group. According to the official passenger list, Prigozhin was also on board.
Now the question arises that what is the truth? A Russian analyst previously claimed that Prigozhin was still alive and plotting revenge on President Putin. There were only two people on board and Putin knew about it. One should not believe the official statements of the Kremlin.
