According to media reports, Luis Rubiales (46) wants to resign as president of the Spanish Football Association RFEF apparently because of the kissing scandal after the Women’s World Cup final. He informed his team that he would make his decision public on Friday, sports newspapers “Marca”, “Mundo Deportivo”, “AS”, “Sport” and other media wrote on Thursday.
To remind, Spain won the final of the Women’s World Cup last Sunday in Sydney against European champions England 1-0. In his overjoyedness, Rubiales kissed player Jennifer Hermoso, 33, on the mouth. He kissed Hermoso “spontaneously” and “without any bad intention or bad will”, he later said regretfully.
