The suspect was arrested on Monday with the assistance of officers of the Cobra-Sud/DSE task force. According to the police, he confessed to the whole thing during interrogation. He told the purpose of this was financial crisis, but in the meantime he had eaten all the loot.
Police spokesman Markus Lamb said that Styrian was initially detained in Graz prison, but should later be transferred to Eisenstadt after the series of robberies began in Burgenland in March 2023.
