Marko Arnautovic knew how to celebrate in his first appearance for Inter Milan. The Austrian teammate played a key role in Inter’s 2-0 win on their Serie A debut against Monza on Sunday evening. The OFB star set up the second goal (76′) for Lautaro Martinez. Argentina (25) had earlier taken the lead (8th). Arnautovic came on in place of Marcus Thuram in the 67th minute. It was his first game for Inter since 24 April 2010.
During his first stint at Inter, Arnautovic (34) only played three games in the league when he was younger. The former Bologna striker has been back at the top club since Wednesday evening, currently third in the table. In second place is SSC Napoli, the defending champions with a 3–1 win over Frosinone. Abdou Harroui stunned the champions early on with a converted penalty (7′), but Matteo Politano (24′) and star striker Victor Osimhen turned things around with braces (42′, 79′).
At the moment Fiorentina is on top. Cristiano Biraghi (5′), Giacomo Bonaventura (11′), Nicolás Gonzalez (40′) and Rolando Mandragora (56′) had a highly successful dress rehearsal in a 4-1 win over Genoa ahead of the first leg of the Conference League. Play-off Rapid next Thursday (7pm). Davide Biraschi’s goal (58′) was irrelevant, Stefan Ilsanker’s employer had no chance.
