FPO Secretary General Christian Hafeneker has repeatedly declared in interviews that their goal is to strike a balance against the persecution and funding of violent left-wing extremists who are a danger to the public. These groups of people and their crimes have to be brought to the fore, says the FPO Federal Party. In fact, an imbalance has developed over the past few decades, with violent Antifa representatives being featured more and more frequently in mainstream media.
Hefeneker recently criticized the proven media lie about a rally in Vienna where peaceful protesters were once again blamed for crimes committed by left-wing extremists. In such cases, the media usually reflect the opinion of left-wing extremists, who were often involved in violent and disruptive actions, without investigating or researching them. Most of these “activists” are presented as experts in the system media and their completely one-sided opinion is given a lot of space. This is also due to the fact that more and more journalists are recruited from these circles or openly sympathize with them. In a recent interview with APA, Hefeneker commented criticized for reproducing an equally one-sided report on right-wing extremism, Due to which the deer becomes a gardener once again. Many critics sum it up: A private body with a smack of communism is being prodded by taxpayer money to produce an annual political etiquette report that will ultimately again be directed against the Liberals and their home-loving leaders. . ,
Hefenecker strongly criticizes the re-introduction of the Right Wing Extremism report, as there is already a report by the Office to Protect the Constitution, which should be sufficient. The FPO Secretary General is particularly surprised by the fact that the Documentation Archive (DOW) of the Austrian Resistance was appointed to do this. There is even a court ruling that allows the association to be called a “communist camouflage organization”, and in addition there are verifiable contacts between DÖW employees and left-wing extremist, violent Antifa circles. “To allow them to do so is open provocation.” Hafeneker believes this is a concession made by the OVP to the Green coalition partner.

During this interview, Hefeneker once again announced that he was planning an annual Left Wing Extremism Report:
He wants to lay the groundwork for this with a series of parliamentary questions that relate to the funding of a number of organizations and people that the FPO considers far-flung. “We see this as our act after the authorities have failed in this regard.” Hefenecker also sees “climate extremism” as a new phenomenon in the left-wing extremist spectrum.
