The production of 155-millimeter artillery shells increased to 24,000 pieces per month since the beginning of the war, now the United States wants to significantly increase production again. A Pentagon spokesman explains, “Our goal is to produce 80,000 pieces per month over the next year.” The United States has delivered more than two million shells to Ukraine since Russia’s offensive began 18 months ago, according to the Pentagon. Nevertheless, the defenders mainly lacked NATO ammunition to effectively support their troops.
At the same time, Germany is investigating the transmission of Taurus Air March units. These would be very helpful to Ukraine, as the discrepancy between Russia and Ukraine is particularly large when it comes to long-range missiles. Because, contrary to the opinion of many experts and recurring reports, the Russian Armed Forces still have sufficient rocket reserves, as evidenced by the attack on the Zikartz Hotel in Zaporizhia. The Taurus cruise missiles have an operational radius of 500 kilometers and are therefore 40 percent longer than missiles already delivered by France or the United Kingdom.
