An accident on the Tauernautobahn caused a 20-kilometer traffic jam in Pongau early in the morning. In the meantime, the block handling at the Ofenau tunnel from the Salzburg junction near the city to Golling is hardly progressing!

The accident happened early in the morning at the Flachau enclosure. A 20-kilometre backlog quickly formed as far as Werfen. Motorists lost an hour and a half as a result. After that, block handling was activated at the Ofenau tunnel. This traffic jam now extends from Golling to the Salzburg junction between the city and Wals-Siezenheim and is 26 kilometers long. A 12-kilometer traffic jam also formed on the A8 in Bavaria just before the border. A traffic jam is now forming on the alternative route, the B159, between Kuchl and Golling. The country’s exit barriers are active along the entire route.
