The trial at the Eisenstadt Regional Court for bodily harm and dangerous threats ended (almost) in goodwill.
For weeks, a construction worker (46) and his partner (33) verbally quarreled. It was about the money – she was demanding the €50,000 she had put into renovating their home so she could move out; he is not liquid because he has high loan payments and child support for four children. The fifth (7) lives with him. Nasty sentences There were repeated arguments, nasty sentences were said containing words like slash and kill. The man admitted the threats. However, he does not want to have said “I’ll let you put away”. Because: “I can’t afford a contract killer.” The woman’s fear grew. In March, one word led to another, he raised his fist and threatened to strike. The police came a little later. “I would never have done that,” said the defendant. “Before I hit it, I flee myself until the anger is gone.” The judge said: “If I now sentence you to a high fine because of a dangerous threat, you will never be equal financially!” The 33-year-old gave herself to that Mrs. Rat’s offer – 50 euros as compensation – satisfied. The man also had to apologize. Maybe he did it on the street.
