On Friday morning there was a violent collision between a 69-year-old driver and another vehicle in Vienna-Floridsdorf. Several construction workers were able to free the elderly woman from the car just in time and thus save her life.
Shortly after the accident, it began to smoke in the elderly woman’s car, which is why workers from a construction site next to the accident site smashed a window, took the woman out and provided first aid, reported Daniel Steiner, spokesman for Vienna’s professional rescue service. The injured had already been freed when the emergency services arrived. The car had rolled over. The accident had occurred in Adolf-Loos-Gasse. The driver of the overturned small car suffered at least injuries to the chest and was taken to the emergency room of a hospital for further clarification after being treated by paramedics. Nobody was injured in the other vehicle involved. The professional fire brigade removed the damaged car of the 69-year-old from the road and parked it securely. Secured means “disconnecting the vehicle battery, removing protruding body parts and masking broken windows,” explained fire department spokesman Christian Feiler.
