With taekwondo, swimming, table football, inline hockey and wheelchair rugby, five new sports are on the programme. Fencing, karate and chess will be back after the premiere in 2021. The hub for participants and fans is Karmeliterplatz in Graz, where in and around the “Finals Dome” there will be sporting decisions, award ceremonies, public viewings, hands-on stations and a supporting program in addition to the opening on Wednesday (7 June). Anyone who cannot be there despite free admission will be helped: As a partner, “Krone” will report digitally and in print, ORF will broadcast more than 15 hours, and there will be more than 200 hours of live programming at SportPass Austria.
