Harder times are dawning for the approximately 1,000 students at the University of Applied Sciences in Villach. You will probably have to take something to eat and drink with you for the next few months. Because operations in the canteen will be discontinued. Even the snack and drink vending machines are no longer filled. The Fürgast company, which was previously responsible for this and for the canteen food, has withdrawn from the technology park. Fürgast boss Hamdi El Manchi cites rising costs and a lack of support as the reasons for this. However, he is confident that he will have found a successor by the fall. The FH is not the only one affected by the Fürgast withdrawal. Other companies in the technology park were also supplied.
