A serious traffic accident in Rum (Tyrolean district of Innsbruck-Land) claimed several injuries on Thursday. A cyclist (22) crashed head-on into the window of an oncoming bus.
The 22-year-old cyclist was on the Rumer Dorfstraße shortly before 10 a.m. on Thursday when a bus came towards him. Exactly at that moment, the German got into the opposite lane with his bike – why, that’s still unclear. In any case, the cyclist crashed head-on into the windshield of the oncoming vehicle. Its driver (61) hit the brakes. A 32-year-old passenger on the bus was injured when the brakes were applied. The cyclist also suffered injuries from the accident. He and the 32-year-old were taken to the hospital in Hall in Tirol by the ambulance. The bus driver also required medical treatment.
