Six passengers were slightly injured in an emergency braking of an intercity bus in Vienna-Döbling on Thursday afternoon. Among the victims were a two-year-old woman and her heavily pregnant mother. The bus driver initiated the braking maneuver at an intersection.
A bus driver was traveling with his passengers on Heiligenstädter Strasse in Vienna on Thursday afternoon when he suddenly initiated an emergency stop at an intersection. Several passengers lost their balance and fell to the ground. Six of the passengers were injured. She was thrown over by the strong braking forces and smashed through a safety glass pane of the bus. She suffered several head injuries. Several rescue teams from the Vienna professional rescue service, the Johanniter and the Samaritan Association were on site. All six injured received emergency medical care and were taken to various clinics in Vienna.
