Norwegian biathlete Eivind Sporaland has been missing since March 19. Now the 22-year-old’s family is making an emotional appeal to the public. One hopes “that people are attentive and inform the authorities about any encounters with him”.
Giving up hope is not an option for the angry parents, as they told the Norwegian newspaper Gudbrandsdolen Dagningen: “We have no other choice. Until we have clarity, we cling to the hope that still exists. He’s used to life in the great outdoors, and we think he might have come a long way.” There is little hot information about Sporaland’s disappearance. The 22-year-old’s car and smartphone were found, but the police have so far been unable to collect any useful information. Mental problemsThe family revealed about two weeks ago mental problems that Sporaland is said to be suffering from. “He became mentally ill. He was open about it and speaking to his friends and family about things that were difficult for him in the days leading up to his disappearance,” they said. The biathlete then went to see a doctor, who immediately sent him home. Shortly thereafter he disappeared.
