5.88 million overnight stays (37.6 percent) were accounted for by guests from Germany (37.6 percent), 3.26 million (20.9 percent) by holidaymakers from Austria and around two million by tourists from the Netherlands (13.3 Percent). Four out of five overnight stays were recorded in the two mountain districts of Pinzgau and Pongau, where the state’s large ski areas are located.
