Once again, a truck driver was misled by his GPS on Wednesday, this time on a narrow municipal road in Edelschrott (Voitsberg district). Towing service and fire brigade came to free the chauffeur from his predicament.
According to chief fire inspector Harald Sabetz, commander of FF Edelschrott, the semitrailer got stuck on the municipal road. Because of the rain-soaked meadow, he could neither advance nor retreat. A towing service, with the support of the emergency services, managed to pull out the heavy vehicle and tow it in the direction of the state road to St. Martin am Wöllmissberg. This difficult undertaking lasted three and a half hours before the firefighters were able to return.
