According to the Vienna police, the man tried to rob a prostitute with his handgun in a red-light bar last Tuesday. The suspect legally owned the gun. Prostitute was not injured in the incidentWhen another prostitute in the next room became aware of the incident, the victim broke free and fled. The man fled without taking anything. Nobody was injured in the incident. Man is said to have had money problems. After intensive investigations by the Vienna State Criminal Police Office, the alleged perpetrator could be found on Sunday. The man was arrested at his home address in Vienna-Favoriten by officials, supported by the EKO Cobra, Directorate for Special Units. During his interrogation, he confessed and cited money problems as the reason for the crime. The 23-year-old was taken to prison.
