Because of a posting on the social network Instagram, there was a difference of opinion between two groups of young girls in Vienna-Leopoldstadt on Sunday. To clarify the situation, the girls between the ages of twelve and 16 met in the Max-Winter Platz area. A fight eventually broke out there.
During the meeting, a 13-year-old was injured by a punch in the face. Earlier, the same girl threatened to kill her if she called the police. The 13-year-old and a 12-year-old also asked the other girls to give them their cell phones, otherwise they would be threatened with further beatings. Four girls handed out their cell phones. According to the Vienna police, the suspects then fled. The State Criminal Police Office took over the investigation into the suspicion of robbery, bodily harm and severe coercion.
