A bad accident happened on Monday afternoon on the Traunuferstraße in Thalheim near Wels. A young motorcyclist crashed into a car and was run over by an oncoming biker as he lay on the road.
A 21-year-old from Thalheim was fatally injured. At around 1:15 p.m., he steered a two-wheeled motorcycle on the L563 Traunuferstraße from Schleissheim in the direction of Thalheim, came into the lane of oncoming traffic and collided there with a car that was being driven by a 49-year-old from Thalheim. As a result of the collision, the 21-year-old was thrown onto the road. Second biker also fell. A 59-year-old from Wels, who was also traveling in the direction of Schleissheim, collided with the motorcycle he was steering with the 21-year-old and thus also fell fall. The 21-year-old succumbed to his injuries at the scene of the accident. The 59-year-old was also seriously injured in the accident and had to be taken to the Wels-Grieskirchen clinic with the C10 emergency doctor helicopter. The driver of the car was not injured. In the course of the accident recording, the L563 Traunuferstrasse was closed until 3:50 p.m. Several relatives had to be cared for by crisis intervention at the scene of the accident.
