The city of Steyr has not covered itself in glory in the past few weeks – the historian and peace researcher Daniele Ganser was denied the use of the city’s premises. The same city lavishly finances the “Working World Museum” where the attack on journalists from the free media has now been drummed up. In front of 150 people, mostly from the radical left spectrum, photos of people, their addresses and photos of their private homes were shown. It is an incredible breach of taboo that would have provoked violent reactions from mainstream journalists. Report24, Austria is free, Info-Direkt, AUF1 and RTV are affected.

On Monday, January 13, 2023, the event “Right-Wing Extremism in Upper Austria” took place in the Museum Arbeitswelt Steyr. Media that have already distinguished themselves through tendentious and sometimes inflammatory reporting against free media and corona critics, such as the Oberösterreichische Nachrichten, advertised and cheered the event.
The event was supported by the well-known left-wing NGOs “Grandmas against the Right”, “Museum Arbeitswelt”, “Dominikanerhaus” and “Mauthausen Komitee Steyr”. All of these NGOs didn’t intervene when the unthinkable happened on stage, they didn’t apologize – and they didn’t comment on our subsequent request. “He who is silent agrees.” Accordingly, these institutions are to be regarded as contributors to a process that is unparalleled in Austrian journalism.
Criticism would be legitimate – but are these also enemy lists?
The well-known tendentious activist Uwe Sailer, who in the past was often conspicuous and often stood before the courts, presented his “findings” on the free media landscape in Upper Austria, which in his opinion consisted of right-wing extremists and right-wing radicals. Now one has to say in advance that criticism is legitimate – just as it is legitimate to have a different opinion politically. The problem with the “Left” side, however, is the constantly acted urge to destroy all dissenters in every imaginable way. Left-wing radicals, especially Antifa, like to resort to property damage, violence, terror and attempted murder.
Private addresses of journalists and their families published
Also in front of visitors from these circles, allegedly a total of 150 people, Mr Sailer showed photos of editors from alternative media such as Report24, Österreich ist Frei, Info-Direkt, AUF1 and RTV. But that’s not all, he also used the opportunity to publish their private addresses and photos of the homes of those who were denounced in this way. According to our knowledge, the families of those affected and their children also live in most of these places. The list of enemies that Uwe Sailer has published here in front of the public is an invitation to criminal offenses to a group of people who see themselves as on a crusade against evil. Alternative media workers have been abused, dehumanized and marked for shooting.
There is absolutely no legitimate reason, when discussing free media, whether or not you disagree with them, to bring this particularly sensitive and particularly private data into the public domain. Such malicious publication is not required to introduce these media and reject their content. It can therefore be assumed that it was a call for crimes and terror against those who think differently, even if this was not said at the event. However, at no time was there any distancing or warning of such attacks and crimes. While the “right” was blanketly accused of being radical and violent, and the aforesaid media were placed in the orbit of crime, there was no mention or warning of left-wing extremist violence. One must assume that the presentation of this content was accepted and accepted by all those present.
Inquiries to those responsible went unanswered
Report 24 sent the following request to the Arbeitswelt Museum, Omas gegen Rechts and the Mauthausen Committee Steyr, which not only remained unanswered but also motivated Sailer to follow up on various social media and to publish more photos and information about the places of residence.
Ladies and Gentlemen
You are involved in the event “Right-Wing Extremism in Upper Austria” on March 13 in Steyr.
On the occasion of this event, the private addresses and residential addresses of journalists were given and their homes were shown in pictures. This was done by the speaker, Mr. Uwe Sailer, and he was not prevented from doing so by the organizers.
I assume that we don’t have to go into detail here about the outrageous violation of data protection and the particularly protected area of life of journalists that was committed here.
We know from examples in the past that such lists of enemies have led to terrorist attacks, which ultimately resulted not only in property damage but also in serious bodily harm and attempted murder. You accepted all of this with this event and the content presented. You are waging the terror you claim to be against yourself.
I hereby call on you to comment on the allegations. Your answer will be used journalistically.
Furthermore, I ask you to ensure that these addresses and photos do not reach the public via blogs, photo galleries and video recordings. We will hold you accountable by any legal means if terrorist attacks occur at any of these addresses. And we will ensure that their responsibility is made known to a wide audience.
I’ll mark Friday, March 17th as the latest date for your reply.
Sincerely
Florian Machl

PS I am neither a right-wing activist nor a right-wing extremist nor a right-wing radical and have been fighting publicly against anti-Semitism and for the interests of the Jews for decades. All of this you could know if you spoke to me instead of inciting hatred.
Even tougher threat scenario than against Arvay
Basically, through this outrageous process, the injustice of which should be intuitively clear to every human being and without a law book, a pressure is built up that not everyone can easily withstand. The publication of the families’ private addresses at a publicly funded event has an abominable quality reminiscent of the darkest times in history.
Sailer had disappeared into obscurity for a few years until he became active again with his seeds of hatred against those who thought differently, obviously motivated by radical left-wing circles who didn’t know his past. Previously, he worked as a highly controversial police officer within the agency, before his early retirement, possibly due to the many complaints received. He is known for not researching, not asking, and presenting pure rumor and conjecture as the truth.
A few years ago, Sailer was the leading head of a left-wing informer platform with the double-tongued name “Heimat ohne Hass”. At that time, a person who called himself Uwe Sailer, whose identity could never be determined with certainty, played internal screenshots, texts and protocols to the outside world, which gave information about massive disputes within the left-wing extremist movement. The publication of this information led to arguments and ruptures within the organization, and Sailer was largely isolated and avoided. There were also complaints and court cases against various left-wing activists.
We ask for your help and support
Dear readers, we need your help. If you can provide legal assistance, we ask that you notify us at [email protected]. However, this legal aid must also be financed. If you have the opportunity to support our fight for the truth – and possibly for our safety – with an amount that doesn’t hurt you, we urgently ask for your cooperation: https://report24.news/unterstuetzen/. Measures such as the installation of cameras and security doors may also need to be implemented in some of the residences.
We are convinced that such events have no place in a constitutional democracy – and at least this is what official Austria claims – and that they violate numerous laws. At worst, as is so often the case, we will be told that the authorities’ hands are tied as long as nothing happens. But if something happens to one of the published addresses or to one of the named persons, everyone who took part approvingly and applauded should be aware of their complicity.
