As The Epoch Times reported on March 16, the German regime has forced a 60-year-old woman into alternative custody because she resisted a mask check and failed to pay the fines that were imposed. The lady has to serve around two months – and the story behind it shows that Germany has nothing left of a proper constitutional state.
While it is now becoming clear everywhere – including in the mainstream media and according to statements by politicians such as Karl Lauterbach – that the corona measures, especially outdoors, were completely arbitrary and pointless, the German regime is locking up a 60-year-old girl because she behaved improperly during a mask check behaved. A fact that is denied by the accused – incidentally, she was never allowed to justify herself in a regular court hearing.
The “act” happened on October 26, 2020 in Berlin. Two employees of the regulatory office complained that “Sabine W.” was traveling without “mouth and nose protection”. The ordinance that forced citizens to do so had only been in effect for two days. The law enforcement officers claimed that the lady had shown no understanding and refused to release her personal details. In addition, she bumped into one of the law enforcement officers with her shoulder and broke free when they tried to hold her. During this “scramble”, a law enforcement officer suffered bruises in the upper arm and shoulder area. A medical officer could not find any visible injuries and certified the full ability to work.
The affected Sabine W. describes the incident completely differently, and she also put on a mask during the discussion with the law enforcement officers. First, she informed the gentlemen that she was not yet aware of the new regulation. When she had already put on the mask, she was grabbed by the police and pressed against a wall, which a witness could confirm. This witness was simply not listed in the police files, he was never questioned. For her part, there was never an attack against the law enforcement officers, she only instinctively protected herself.
The regulatory office sent her a fine of 328.50 euros for the entire matter, as well as an invoice for 329.11 euros, because her actions would have made a security officer unable to work for three days. Wrongly advised, she paid the amounts “with reservations”.
Punish one, raise hundreds
The authorities also conducted criminal proceedings against Sabine W for “resistance against law enforcement officers and equivalent persons and bodily harm to the detriment of an employee of the public order office”. It is obvious that an example should be made of the lady in order to educate others as well.
The result of the procedure was not delivered to her, the letter apparently got lost – instead, on December 27, 2021, she received a letter accusing her of not having paid the fine in the amount of 2,786. It was already an enforcement procedure in the context of a penal order. The penalty order itself was said to have been served on April 9 – which Ms. W. doesn’t want to know anything about. Any objection periods had of course expired in the meantime. Legal help was in vain, an application for reinstatement and an appeal against the penalty order were dismissed.
There was only sporadic correspondence between Sabine W. and the authorities, and there was no oral hearing.
In January 2022, Sabine W. was offered nine weeks (!) of work for a social institution in order not to have to pay the fine. She declined. As a result, on January 19, Sabine W. was asked in the women’s prison in Berlin-Lichtenberg to accept alternative detention or pay the outstanding amount.
On February 3, she began her substitute prison sentence in the JVA for women with the declaration that she was out
appearing in protest and under threat of further action against them. She will count the days there until April 4th and then finally leave the prison.
