Frightening: In just one weekend in Germany, two women and a young person lost their lives in a violent crime. The body of a 12-year-old woman was found in Freudenberg (NRW), in Lichtenfels (Bavaria) passers-by found the dead worker of a flower shop and in Nuremberg (Bavaria) a young woman lay lifeless in an apartment after an argument.
Eight people just died in a rampage at Jehovah’s Witnesses in Hamburg, now Germany is being shaken by several horror reports about violent crimes against girls and women: A 12-, a 19- and a 50-year-old were killed in different parts in the last few days of the country found dead.
On Saturday evening, twelve-year-old Luise from Freudenberg in North Rhine-Westphalia was initially reported missing because she did not arrive at home after visiting a friend and could no longer be reached by phone. The shortest way home led through a forest. During the large-scale search for the missing person, the police found a female body in the area of a former railway tunnel, which is now used as a cycle path. In the evening, the police announced that it was the missing girl. It is now clear that the teenager was the victim of a crime. So far there is no evidence of a sexual offense, an autopsy scheduled for today should bring further insights. When investigating where the body was found, there were initially problems with jurisdiction. Since Freudenberg is in the south of North Rhine-Westphalia, on the border with Rhineland-Palatinate, but the body was found in Rhineland-Palatinate, it was initially unclear which authority was responsible. No further details have been announced so far.
On Friday evening around 9 p.m., a 50-year-old employee was found dead in a flower shop in Lichtenfels. Passers-by noticed that the outside area of the flower shop was still set up and the shop door was not locked. They found the body on the floor of the store. The police assume a violent crime and have set up a 30-strong special commission called “Blume”.
A 19-year-old woman was killed in Nuremberg in the night from Friday to Saturday. During an argument with her partner in his apartment, fisticuffs broke out, as a result of which the woman died. The 27-year-old was arrested at the scene after a close relative called the police. The deceased had upper body injuries. The partner is in custody, the homicide detective.
Is this the new normal in the best Germany of all time? The daily reports of violent attacks don’t stop – on the contrary, they seem to keep piling up. How high is the dark figure?
