In the last so-called pandemic years, the number of traffic accidents in a number of countries around the world increased – even though traffic on the roads had decreased rapidly due to lockdowns and home office regulations. Why? If you ask the mainstream, it’s because of irresponsible driving and “pandemic” stress. But in the past, attentive observers have noticed an increase in reports of “medical emergencies” at the wheel since the vaccination campaigns. A recent shock video from Australia illustrates the catastrophic impact such a sudden and unexpected emergency can have.
“Medical emergencies” do not only affect pilots and athletes. In Adelaide, Australia, dramatic scenes took place on Tuesday last week: footage from a car camera shows how a huge truck is increasingly drifting off the road. First the car drifts onto the bike path, then onto the sidewalk. He crashes into a street sign and lamppost, then smashes through an intersection at high speed – a car can brake at the last second to avoid a collision. Instead, the truck then collides with a bus stop, which it completely destroys, crashes through fences, bushes and a hedge and finally comes to a standstill in a front yard.
Amidst 42k excess deaths, Australia is experiencing a surge in drownings and car accidents, alongside a distressing video of a truck driver’s “medical episode” causing chaos to streetlights, a bus stop, and yards. Miraculously, there were no injuries – with the exception of the driver: the 31-year-old suddenly lost consciousness at the wheel of his truck. The driver of the car with the dash cam rushed to his aid after the truck had come to a stop and found the young New South Wales man slumped in the driver’s seat, his face covered in blood. Paramedics soon took him to the hospital. The cause of his sudden collapse is unclear. The extent of the destruction is enormous, even days later the residents are still busy clearing away debris, torn branches and demolished fences.
Australia is well known for its strict control and vaccination regime. In view of the strict lockdown regulations, traffic accidents and fatalities should have decreased rapidly here too – but that was not the case. In the first “pandemic years” the difference to previous years was minimal, in 2022 traffic deaths even increased noticeably. A similar picture can also be seen in other countries: In the USA, for example, an extreme increase in traffic fatalities in the first half of 2021 – here too despite strict corona measures – made the headlines. The narrative, according to which a large proportion of motorists have blossomed into irresponsible hooligans since the Corona crisis, can certainly be viewed as questionable – even if the massive pressure from the mania for taking measures (and the livelihoods destroyed as a result) certainly made a contribution.
