The “Queens Brunch” is to take place on April 16 in the “Villa Vida” on Linke Wienzeile. A “Drag Children’s Show” with “Drag Performances” and “Stories of Love and Adventure” – i.e. men jumping around in women’s clothes and skimpy lingerie. The show is for “12-year-old kids and younger kids,” organizers say, with a minimum age of 5 to attend.
Politically there is headwind from the ÖVP and the FPÖ (eXXpress reported). Parents are also up in arms about the event. All “extreme right”, like Markus Sulzbacher, editor of the controversial left-leaning daily Standard. In a tweet he comes out in defense of the transvestites. Sulzbacher calls the resistance to men in ordinary disguises appearing in front of small children a right-wing mobilization.
The profile seems to have a similar view. The magazine sees the vulgar drag shows as a “colorful enemy of the FPÖ”. Occasion: Vienna’s FPÖ boss Dominik Nepp previously warned of “transgender madness” and called for a ban on “child-harmful” drag events.
The eXXpress readers obviously see things very differently from the two left-leaning media. 97 percent consider this early sexualization of children, at the expense of taxpayers, to be a mess.
