Shocking video: Drunk woman wants to pet lion – hand mauled

Completely drunk, a woman climbed over a fence to pet a lion in the Russian city of Ussuriysk. She didn’t seem to realize that it could be dangerous. She probably couldn’t read the sign “Please do not climb over fences” either. Still, she showed enough athleticism to get close to the lion. Aristo, as the lion was called, didn’t want to be petted by the drunk, grabbed her hand and mauled her. Animal keepers and other zoo visitors rushed to the woman’s aid. She was immediately taken to the hospital. It is not known whether the hand could be saved.
