The emergency call went every second in Udine, Italy: Concerned drivers reported a wrong-way driver who was snaking on the A 23, the connecting road to Carinthia.
The police immediately closed the highway, a huge traffic jam formed. The alcohol driver from Villach just kept driving, racing through five motorway tunnels until the police were finally able to stop him.
In addition to a driving ban, the Carinthian now faces a fine of over 10,000 euros.
